Atlantic Monthly (subscribe here) will devote three issues (eight months) of the magazine to one story, according to the New York Times.

The article, “American Ground: Unbuilding the World Trade Center,” by a staff correspondent, William Langewiesche, will stretch over three consecutive issues, starting with July/August, and amount to 60,000 words. In October, Farrar, Straus & Giroux, Mr. Langewiesche’s publisher, will release a book of the same name under its North Point Press imprint.
