    I think the Times article is hog-wash. Thank god the days when webcam coffee pots were considered “cool”are long-gone. And the statistic used to prop up the reporter’s thesis is also lame: last year users spent 90 minutes on the web compared with 83 minutes this year. So how many more people are on the Internet this year than last. And what is the average speed of connections this year vs. last? And has novel, stupid uses of the Internet been replaced by efficient productive uses?
