Salon’s Sean Elder suggests Jann Wenner just shut down Rolling Stone. Of course, a more likely scenario is that the $76 million down-the-drain Salon just gets shut down.

Mediaweek reports Hearst and Lifetime will launch a magazine next March with the Lifetime brand.

What’s with the name of new magazines and departments in them? Someone has a theory. Probably a wrong theory, but a theory nonetheless.
