A little help from his friends

In October, a few friends of Billboard Magazine editor Timothy White, who died in June of a heart attack at age 50, are planning a couple of “small” concerts to benefit his wife and children — at the FleetCenter and Madison Square Gardens. The artists, all paying their own expenses to perform, include John Mellencamp, James Taylor, Sheryl Crow, Sting, Don Henley, Billy Joel, and ex-Pink Floyd singer Roger Waters.
