Custom-ization? While I typically do not blog stories about the transactions of magazine titles, I thought this announcement about the acquisition of a business-to-business title, HostingTech magazine (note the “we’re on hiatus message) is interesting in that it appears to be somewhat unique (in a custom publishing sort of way). I have no knowledge of this category (but has that ever stopped me from commenting?) but this sounds like an example of the conversion of a traditionally published b-to-b magazine into a customer magazine. But then again, the seller is “in the business” also, so I doubt the parties involved would view it in such a way.
