More good news: Not even close to discovering a lost loved-one is alive, but still, I just received a pleasant surprise. By a voice vote, the U.S. House today passed “my” legislation, HR 758. It’s the legislation I testified on and blogged earlier. Again, perhaps not that significant in a time of war, but noteworthy to a few of us, nonetheless. It still has to pass the Senate.
By the way, someone in the House Clerk’s office keeps one of the coolest weblogs around, a running account of the day’s floor activities. It appears to be the raw “minutes” of proceedings that overnight will become the basis of the “Congressional Record,” but online and in real-time, it’s very blog-like.
