Magazines sell liquor

Magazines sell liquor: You may be shocked to learn that, according to some research published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, some beer and other alcohol advertisements are placed in magazines like Rolling Stone and People, magazines that are popular with teenagers, ipso facto, those advertisers are targeting teenagers. Or, something like that. Of course, those girls fighting over Miller Lite on TV are targeting another demographic: illiterate teenagers who don’t read magazines.

Comparing 35 magazines, the researchers found that for every million more readers ages 12 to 19 a magazine had 60 percent more advertisements for beer and distilled liquor.
