Another last word: Martha has started a weblog called “Martha Talks”, well sort of a weblog, but don’t count on her making any more posts.

Alabama: With Rick Bragg and now, Howell Raines, exiting the NY Times, the Alabamaness of the paper will disappear. I don’t think many people will notice, however.
