    Does that mean it still has a username and password, or is it totally open? I’m curious to know how Mac OS X computers connect to the various paid WiFi services. Boingo, for example, requires client software that does not work with Macs (but they they are are coming out with a Mac version this summer).

    At the downtown DC Starbucks I posted this from, the wi-fi was via T-Mobile which worked just fine w/ my Mac and OS X. The first click of a browser takes you to a webpage that requires a registration process. If you register, they give you the first day free.
