Reader’s Digest woes: The NY Journal News reviews the downward spiral and coming challenges of one of the world’s most recognizable magazine brands, Reader’s Digest.

The credit rating of the world’s most widely read magazine was now officially junk. The lower ratings meant it would be more expensive to borrow to buy Reiman, a circumstance that company officials said they anticipated when they crunched the numbers on the deal. Last month the deal got a little more expensive.

Her journey started as a subscriber who refused to see a publication die. In a few months, the magazine celebrates its 30th anniversary.
