Missing the point Despite the intern-written (or for some other reason, confused) headline* on this Reuters story, the most recent quarter’s performance of Meredith beat analysts forecasts.
Advertising from Meredith’s publications, which account for some 77 percent of revenue, surged in the fourth quarter at its two leading women’s magazines, Ladies’ Home Journal and Better Homes and Gardens.
*I realize when this link dies, the headline comment will make no sense. It says, “Meredith’s Net Drops,” which is, technically, correct, I suppose. However, when comparing (apples-to-apples and not some “pro-forma” myth) operating, non-extraordinary revenues and expenses, the company’s net actually rose.
