    There’s an TV spot that’s been running for some months about on-demand publishing – the scene is in a typical college lecture room and the prof is droning about how hard it is to get published. The hero of the spot interrupts, politely, and then relates that everyone can now get published, thanks the the handy-dandy world of on-demand (I explain all this because the ad has made absolutely no impression on me of the company ot promotes).

    But as you noted in a recent blog and then point out here, the blog technology is moving society past the need for even print on demand – and reaching a broader audience, which is of course the second most important reason to write at all. http://www.samueljohnson.com/writing.html#203
