Overwhelming: Remember that guy I blogged about on New Year’s Eve: the one who was drowning in his magazines? According to the NY Times (registration required), there have been several cases of reclusive people trapped by their own accumulations of saved objects, from twist ties to grand pianos. Quote:
Okay. I’m not going to name names, but you know who you are. (via Boing Boing)

Bestsellers, 2003: Amazon says these are the 50 bestselling books of 2003. It appears they have lots of overweight left and right wing customers.

Welcome to Clone Covers, 2004: Thanks to those who already have e-mailed me this morning to ask if I am going to start a Clone Covers, 2004 (like last year’s), in which I note the weeks Time and Newsweek Magazines look strikingly similar. The answer is yes.
January 12, 2004 If the appearance of Howard Dean on the covers of both magazines during the same week seems familiar to you, you’re on top of your Clone Covers. Last August, both magazines did a similar story to this week’s.
For the record, last year, both magazines also started the year featuring the same topic (Kim Jong II). Also for the record, in 2003, Wesley Clark was the only other Democrat presidential nominee candidate to appear on the cover or either magazine (September 28 cover of Newsweek). (Well, except for Hillary.) (If this still makes no sense, visit Clone Covers, 2003, for an explanation and archive.) (Thanks to the earliest bird, Bill.)
