flag The month America’s magazines flew her flag: I had this post ready to go yesterday, but was on the go (literally) all day. It’s a link to the Smithsonian Institution’s exhibit called, “July 1942: United We Stand” of a couple years ago that displayed magazine covers from that month. Merely six months after Pearl Harbor, several hundred American magazines found a way to put ol’ glory on their covers. Not only is it an inspiring display of patriotism, it is a unique and instructive snapshot of magazine design.
