Smart: Scientific American has launched a new quarterly, Scientific American Mind. It looks like it will be an interesting read, with articles like this one about why people are prone to believe conspiracy theories.
Why do people go to great lengths to try to prove that secret powers are orchestrating everything from the spread of diseases to the death of famous people? And do those who believe the theories merely have overactive imaginations, or is something else going on in their heads?
It’s my theory that the Tri-lateral Commission made them include that story.
