A judge uses some common Ad Sense: On Saturday, I blogged a preview of Google’s legal week and posted this screen grab of what a Google search results page looked like when I entered the word “GEICO.” Today, a federal judge dismissed the major claim in a patent infringement lawsuit GEICO brought against Google for serving up competitor’s ads when the word GEICO was googled. It’s now a few hours after that decision: I wonder what happens when you now google the word GEICO. Like magic.
Update: My apologies if this post has wigged out anyone’s newsreader. I’ve messed around with the code so much that links were headed everywhere but what was promised. I think (but am not sure) all works now.
