Christmas eve tradition: In our household, we discovered years ago that having good cheer throughout the day before Christmas means starting off with a hearty breakfast. And so, for the past 15 years or so, we’ve started the day at one of the best pancake restaurants in America, the Pancake Pantry with Mary (hands down the greatest waitress in the entire universe, who, in the middle photo, is giving a hug to the guy who, just yesterday it seems, got to use a sugar box as a booster seat at the Pancake Pantry). In the right photo, you can see why, if you start out the day at the Pancake Pantry, you go through the day in blissful comfort. (High cholesterol? What high cholesterol?)
