I agree with Patrick Ruffini – A Frist blog would be great: Patrick Ruffini, reflecting on Jerry Brown and Ralph Reed starting blogs, observes that my senator, Bill Frist, should blog. As I’ve received his e-mailed missives for years, I couldn’t agree more. He writes with the intellect, insight and voice that is natural for the blog-form (better than, say, for TV, although he’s improved in that department over the years). Indeed (and incredibly), I have at least five elected officials who represent me who each would make great bloggers, as they all are incredibly smart, articulate and capable writers (at least two have authored multiple books). I’d happily volunteer to help any of them set up and maintain a weblog: Senators Frist and Alexander, Gov. Phil Bredesen, U.S. Rep. Jim Cooper and Mayor Bill Purcell seem to me to be blogging naturals.
