Slowly but surely: The two final segments of the 444-mile Natchez Trace Parkway were officially opened Saturday, 67 years after work began to link Natchez to Nashville. There are faster ways to get from Nashville to Natchez — and, the other tavel terminus the trace served, New Orleans (I prefer Southwest, myself), however none more historic and picturesque.
