I have always thought that ever since Google launched the AdWords platform, thats when they began their transition into a media company. AdSense took them out of being exclusively in the search silo, and you know the rest of the story. I see them as a media company of the future. They now have a growing network of properties and products and are monetizing them successfully and effectively for their advertisers.
