Dejagimmick: (From BusinessWeek) “EchoStar Communications Corp., which operates the Dish Network, said Tuesday it will provide 10 years’ worth of free satellite television service for every household in a U.S. town that legally (changes its name to Dish).”

Observation: I can think of just the town for them – Half.com, Ore.

This smacks of those dot.com offers that were quietly rescinded 6 months later when the company declared bankruptcy. It’s a bad sign for the Dish Network.

Well, Laura. I’d agree with you except in the example I cited (Half.com, Oregon), the dot.com didn’t go out of business, but was purchased by eBay a few months later for several gazillion dollars.
