Keeping it real

Keeping it real: (From a NYT article about Cookie , the new parenting magazine from Condé Nast.) “The cover of the premiere issue shows a 33-year-old woman and an 8-year-old boy jumping on the bed in a hotel room. Both are wearing pajamas (hers, $50; his, $110) though she is also keeping cozy with a white cashmere coat ($484) (The two are not related in real life, but the editors and focus groups thought they had what Ms. Guzman described as an authentic chemistry.)”

I’ve decided that in the future, I’m going to run all my blog posts by editors and focus groups so that I can have an authentic chemistry.

From the masthead, I would assume it was a magazine for kids and not for parents and would most likely skip right over it in the bookstore.
