A taco trick

A taco trick: The family’s hockey fan is home from school for a four-day weekend, so we attended the Nashville Predators game tonight — a 6-0 shutout of the Chicago Blackhawks. Not only did the home team win (its 33rd win – 21st at home – of the season) and goalie Tomas Vokoun get his second shut out, we also saw a hat trick, the first one in Scott Hartnell’s career. Also, I discovered that when the Predators score five goals in home game, all of the fans get a taco from Taco Bell. As the attendance was 17,113, that’s a lot of tacos. I’ve put a couple of shots from the game on Flickr.

Always a big fan of those promos. Heck, I don’t really dig Pepsi, but whenever Jeff Gordon wins the Pepsi 400 and we all get Pepsi, I still put in for it. Whether that’s good or bad I don’t know just yet, but I think at the end of the day, it builds some sort of relationship between fans, and a brand, and associates it with something they like – sports.
