So funny I forgot to laugh: The exhaustive Wikipedia list of April fools ‘pranks’ proves a theory of mine: there is no long tail of humor. Here are the boiler-plate blogger jokes from today:

1. (Person who works at Company A) announces they are going to work for (Company B, A’s direct competitor).

2. (Entity A) is purchasing (choose one: All Web 2.0 companies, a country, Google)

3. (A, who makes it a practice of daily slamming B) has decided that (B) is really swell.

4. A faux product is being announced, is shipping or not shipping.

5. False search results.
