Trading ad-bellies: (From The 360) “A consortium of some of the biggest advertisers in the United States has plans to move the ad industry out the era of the cattle exchange and into the internet age. They’re looking for someone to build an ADSDAQ — an online exchange similar to the NASDAQ where advertisers and media owners can trade….These top advertisers hope to replace the television upfront system, in which advertisers must bid on a year’s worth of broadcast spots each May and June, with a rear-round electronic exchange. Ultimately, they believe all media should be bought and sold through an ADSDAQ. In the short term, they hope to start with less critical buys.”

How Fox could sell more downloads of 24: I read it first at PaidContent.org that Fox is selling episodes of “24″ via iTunes. (They also have some other shows I don’t watch.) I think they could sell lots more downloads if they offered a mashup version that included Dave Barry’s show commentary with each episode in pop-up video fashion.

What’s in a name? Paul Conley says he’s disappointed that a new newsletter called Face-to-Face Report about the trade show and meeting industries is so close to the name of a blog about the same industry, Face2Face. Of course, having an unfortunate name for a meeting industry publication is not without precedent. (If this confuses you, do a Google search of the acronym.)
