nbAA plAAyoffs: Well, it had to happen, my career as a Mavs fan finally suffered a setback. The Miami Heat came back from a 13-point deficit to win game three of the NBA finals. To demonstrate how totally out of the NBA loop I have been, I was confused when the announcers kept referring to the name of the Heat’s home court, the American Airlines Arena. I was confused because during the previous two games, I’d learned that the name of the Maverick’s home court is the American Airlines Center. As I’ve taken a long break from anything related to the NBA — I retired when Michael Jordan did — I missed it when every NBA team agreed to change their arena’s name to American Airlines.
