Free iPod store download for ‘Suzuki’ folks: Any student or parent who has experienced a few years of the Suzuki violin method has probably overdosed on the “Bach Double.” The two parts are in the Suzuki repertoire (Books 4 & 5 as I recall). I just noticed the iTunes store is currently (hurry) offering a free “discovery download” of the piece (officially known as the “Vivace” from Bach Concerto for 2 Violins, Strings and Continuo in D minor) by violinst Akiko Suwanai. I’m happy to report that after a few years of recovery, a “Suzuki parent” can actually enjoy the piece again.
