While live-blogging the Steve Jobs keynote presentation, I made some rather blunt observations about the nosedive it took when Cingular CEO Stan Sigman took the stage. (I didn’t say, but could have, that inside the hall, there were audible moans and groans with each new sentence tagged onto his remarks.)

Garr Reynolds, an expert on the topic of presentations (and whose blog, Presentation Zen, is the go-to blog on the topic), takes a deep, insightful look into what happened — and what those who make presentations can learn from it.

Bonus link: Todd Bishop of the Seattle PI ran Jobs’ speech through text analyzing software and compared the results to keynote speeches at CES given by Bill Gates and Michael Dell.
