The tech-blogosphere is lighting up over Kevin Marks’ announcement that he has left Technorati to join Google — which in the world of blog-search, is like leaving the Boston Red Socks to join the New York Yankees. I know nothing about this matter other than this: Last year at Bloggercon IV, I was extremely impressed with Kevin’s ability to videotape the sessions and chat on the IRC channel simultaneously. It was impressive. I feel certain, however, that his ability to type and shoot video at the same time had nothing to do with his joining Google.
