Things I learn from being on panels

This morning, the Nashville office of Business Wire hosted a breakfast panel discussion about blogging, social media and search engine optimization (SEO). In addition to me, on the panel were Jon Henshaw of Sitening, Bill Hobbs and my Twitter-friend @DaveDelany of Two Boobs and and Baby (okay, he’s got a real job at Emma, but I couldn’t help myself).

I’m glad I participated as it enabled me to finally understand the meaning the term “gray hat SEO”: Apparently, it means SEO practices that are borderline black-hat, but they’re gray because a friend is doing them and not some guy you’ve never met.

Or something like that.

Thanks to the hosts, panelists and the most wide-awake attendees I’ve ever seen at a breakfast event.
