I’m in total agreement with Fred Wilson who writes that Jason Calacanis’ definition of Web 3.0 is nonsensical visioning. Of course, I think the term Web 2.0 is also nonsense. But even if I actually thought that some web-dot-number would help people gain understanding of the evolving potential of the web (rather than something that confuses them even more), I’d still think Calacanis’ definition is nothing more than spam for his latest startup. Enough, already. Hype is not insight.
