Google’s tweaked PageRank to give PayPerPost/Izea bloggers a ‘zero’ PageRank. Classic quote from CEO of Izea/PPP: “We’re pretty lucky in that our marketplace hasn’t seen any change in the liquidity.”

Since Dylan Stableford returned to Folio Magazine after a stint as Mediabistro’s FishbowlNY editor, he’s been working on the relaunch their website — with more emphasis on a robust blog containing lots of daily industry-insider news and observations — along with snarky commentary and unfounded rumors (actually, I just made up that last part). If you work in Magazineworld and you haven’t seen it, check out Folio:’s new posts from magazine “personalities”. Disclosure: Dylan has invited me to join his “Stable” of contributors and so, from time-to-time, I’ll be adding some magazine wonkish items over there — along with any snarky commentary and unfounded rumors I can sneak in.

I’ve re-enabled MyBlogLog over in right-hand column (for those who are reading this at rexblog.com) after being convinced I can do what I ranted yesterday I was not able to do. Also: See the comments in that post for how a product manager should engage (and not enrage) some crazed bloggger (in this instance, me) teeing-off on a perceived glitch in the product manager’s product. P.S. Thanks, Ian, for not writing what I’m sure you were thinking. Note to self: Next time something like this happens, record a brief screencast in order to demonstrate later exactly what took place. |
