Quote - Technorati’s implementation of tags and their use as search terms is broken. My take: I haven’t considered this at all. I’ve just been lazy about adding Technorati tags to blog posts - my bad, not their’s.

Observation - Could it be that Yahoo is actually going to do something that moves MyBlogLog towards its potential? Or, wait? Does this sound a bit ominous?

Quote re: new round of investors - Automattic is now positioned to execute on our vision of a better web not just in blogging, but expanding our investment in anti-spam, identity, wikis, forums, and more.

My take: Addicted? No. I think I’m more a social-drinker of gadgetry. Granted, from time to time, I’ll binge on a new gizmo. I still like sunshiny days and baby ducks.

Observation - From the ‘we’ve all gotta die from something department’ comes a report that sushi being served at many restaurants in Manhattan has high levels of mercury.

We’re almost finished developing our first feature using the MyBlogLog API that we’re going to premiere on the Raven Blog. It should be finished by the end of today. We’re also creating an open source PHP wrapper to go along with it. I’ll try to remember to email you when it’s ready for prime time.

Okay, it’s live! We implemented the MyBlogLog API on our blog. We created a top blog member widget, a blog member directory and a profile page for all of the members. If a MyBlogLog member becomes a member of our blog, they automatically show up on the member list and get their own profile page. We also created a new open source project out of it – hosted on Google Code: http://code.google.com/p/php-mybloglog/
