Last Thursday, I was at the University of Mississippi to speak with a class of students in the school’s magazine program. As typical when I’m there or anywhere with the university’s journalism department chair, Samir Husni, the topic turns to magazine launches. Fortunately, I now know to have my camcorder running as Samir (Mr Magazine) is a quip machine. Here’s a brief snippet of what two die-hard magazine wonks discuss instead of how many magazines have shuttered during the past month.
