		<description>On the whole, I agree with you Rex. Maybe I have a Spartacus complex, but I’m typically zigging while others zag. When the herd is moving in one direction, I try to go the other way since it typically does not pay to do what everyone else is doing. There are a few rational lone voices out there who are experts who believe the economic outlook for the last half of the year and 2010 will be decidedly better. Admittedly, they are a minority and they are not in the government. I think there is a sense among many of us that the economy will improve despite the current inside the beltway insanity.</description>

As for the zeitgeist of the column...we seem to be happier with reports on the &#039;half empty glass&#039; rather than the &#039;half full glass&#039;.  Or maybe we are easily distracted by &#039;just how big is the glass?&#039; uncertainties.</description>
