Gist: Amazon recently zapped some books off Kindles when they discovered the books violated copyrights. Unfortunately, the books were by Orwell and irony flowed forth from all directions. Here's some of the kind of spanking Amazon has received since the incident: "Since Amazon’s management does not come from the licensing industry Amazon has blithely gone along thinking that licensing ebooks is the same as selling pbooks. To those of us in this ebook world it is obviously not, and Amazon is learning this by a series of painful lessons."
