The company, for all its merits, is slow and bureacratic, and it's painfully short on innovation and creative thinking at its highest levels. This is hardly the outfit to remake a business for the age of Google and Wikipedia. We need owners with faster feet and bigger heads.
Typically, I don't comment on closures, but this one deserves one. Time Inc. is a giant company and can only manage (or make money one) giant, multidemensional media brands that generate lots ‘o revenue. Southern Accents, with 400k subscribers, could work inside another company. Too bad it had to die an un-Time-ly death this way.
