You're right that I had forgotten the date of that post. Pretty amazing. Interesting to read the line, "A year from now, it will pull up hundreds of thousands, or perhaps even millions." Sure 'nuf, here we are, many millions later.

The proper congrats, however, are owed to Dave Winer, for coming up with stuff that ubiquitizes, and makes life better and more interesting for all of us.

Jeez Rex, 5 years seems like a long time! I recently realized this too when I was planning some new features for our site (I'm the Founder and CEO of Podcast Alley). So much has happened in the last 5 years, its hard to believe, really. New advertising models were introduced, people are able to connect in new, more personal ways, and experts from every field and on every topic are finally able to share their passion. Simply amazing. (wipes tear from eye)
