He fervently begs us not to RT contest promotions, even if they&#039;re companies we love, believe in and support, saying, &quot;That&#039;s not what Twitter is for!&quot;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;In addition, I&#039;ve had people complain that I write a corporate blog. Keep in mind, these complaints weren&#039;t about specific posts that they felt were too self-serving (which I would plead guilty to), but just the fact that we dared to participate in &quot;social media&quot; as a corporation in the first place.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;That being said, I do feel the &quot;tree-huggers&quot; have backed down in the recent year or two. Whether they feel they lost the war or discovered that business can&#039;t ruin their new toys is anyone&#039;s guess.</description>
