Are you stuck and need a last minute suggestion for a romantic Valentine’s Day evening (for a tech-oriented couple — okay, a couple of geeks.)? *
(And before you dismiss my suggestion, I will remind you that two married couples (not one, but two) found each other through my blog.)
After a wonderful meal at a restaurant you find via Yelp where you exchange gifts purchased at the Apple Store, head home where you curl up with your DVD’d first round of Watson vs. Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter on Jeopardy.
And then, use Netflix to stream to your TV via Roku (or to your iPad, X-box, etc.) the Hepburn-Tracy romantic comedy Desk Set. Released in 1957, it’s a romantic comedy about, well, computers, search engine optimization and hilarious taxonomy jokes. You’ll love the Mad Men sets and costumes and the 30 Rock setting is very Tina Fey. What more could you ask for?
Here’s the trailer:
*While my wife is, in no way, techish, she still likes it when I get her something, and actually set it up, from the Apple Store.
