Scheduled to open in May, Nashville’s new convention and exhibition center, the Music City Center, is going to astonish those in the major event planning business. Thanks to the kindness of my first cousin (in-law), an engineer who has been an “owner’s rep” on the project throughout its planning and construction, I was able get a sneak peak inside and to take these photos of during the final days of construction. Next up, the artisans who have been commissioned to create the art that will be visible throughout the 1.2 million square feet of public space. The entire project is 2.1 million square feet project, when including the 1,800 car parking garage beneath the facility.
