I’m reading an advance copy of David Weinberger’s Small Pieces Loosely Joined to review for MyBusiness Magazine, so I thought I would stop by his blog. Glancing through it, I learned that Dr. Weinberger has declared the the worst hotel in America to be the “The Opryland” Hotel.
I’m not here to defend Opryland Hotel. Far from it. If I had ever stayed at the hotel, I would probably agree with most of David’s gripes. However, I do take exception to one of his top-8 reasons the Hotel sucks: “The nearest city is Nashville.”
Next time you’re in Nashville, David, please let me know so I can give you a list of things to see and do outside the hermetically sealed confines of the Opryland Hotel. These may help you realize that Nashville is not what you think and that you should certainly not judge it by the “reality” of Opryland Hotel.
Oh, and I’m enjoying the book.
