Bill Hudgins, Road King Magazine editor-in-chief, and unofficial leader of the trucker anti-defamation league, pops a top over Mello Yello’s big rig-bashing TV spot (select the one in the middle). Having seen Bill do this to about a dozen advertisers over the past decade, I’m struck by what a cliché it is to dipict big trucks as monsters. Even Steven Spielberg, at age 25, did it.
Bill hasn’t commented yet on the most intriguing (weird?) trucker-themed commercial (select “swimsuit”) I’ve seen in, well, forever.
