Howard Kurtz observes that 9/11 did not mark the end to fluff journalism. I don’t know about you, but I was around last September, and I don’t recall too many people saying that fluff was over. I can recall that some pundits claimed that “irony” was dead, but fluff? Fluff has survived world wars and nuclear bombs; earthquakes and serial murders. Whatever strawman said “fluff is finished” so that Howard Kurtz could point out it’s not, please show yourself.
