John Lavey, futurist

John Lavey, futurist: For years, my friend and colleague, John Lavey, has been predicting that in the future, computers and the Internet will play a more-and-more important role in our lives. Despite the fact that his friends made fun of him behind his back for this theory, John held on to his whacky prediction. Well, look who’s laughing last. Today, the Washington Times has a story with this headline: “Internet on Rise as Information Tool.” So, John, on behalf of me and all those others naysayers, let me eat crow and promise: “We will no longer laugh at your funny predictions about the future.” (Note: this promise does not extend to your haircuts.)
