iMportant iPod iNformation: Engadget shows how-to turn your iPod into a universal remote. Speaking of iPods, after a whole three days of using one, I have decided the Griffin iTrip is an essential device. It is a tiny FM transmitter that allows you to wirelessly play your iPod through any FM radio. (via BoingBoing)

  1. I prefer the Transpod (linked above) because, along with a FM transmitter, it has an audio output that lets you use a cassette adapter…which means better sound quality whenever you in a car with a tape player.

it also acts as a dock in the car…the only reason I ever take the iPod out of my car is when i want to update the songs.

  2. XM Radio has a portable PDA-sized unit that broadcasts thru a nearby radio, in your vehicle or in home. I haven’t tested in home yet, but the vehicle feature is nice. So, you got your 5K songs, i got 120-plus channels. Everyone’s happy.
