Blogging for a cause: Like my friend Steve Rubel learned today, about 15 years ago, my dermatologist discovered I had the highly treatable form of skin cancer, basal cell carcinoma. In my case, it was removed in the doctor’s office with a simple procedure. (Believe me, I’ve had much worse procedures for less threatening-sounding conditions.)
I grew up in a pre-sun block era and so I must always get checked regularly. We all should.
As you might expect, Steve is starting a blog (it will be at the URL skincancerblog.net) on the topic.
This reminds me of another rexblog friend, Kim Garretson, in Minneapolis (who, by the way, has added his name to the rexblog map like you should), whose experience with prostrate cancer led him to start the unique website, MansGland.com.
