The Jeff effect: I’ll suspend my usual skepticism of such research and say here’s scientific proof that when Jeff Jarvis rants, people listen. Disclosure: the reason I’m endorsing this research is because today, Jeff was nice enough to continue giving me co-suggestor status for the Pulitzer committee to recognize the Times-Picayune’s weblog coverage of Katrina’s aftermath. Today, the Pulitzer committee opened the way for that possisbility.
As much as I’d like to credit this to the Jeff effect (and the rexblog co-suggestor co-effect), Dan Gillmor has been championing the cause of allowing newspaper’s online coverage to win Pulitzers for almost a decade.
