Obvious question – why would one want to? (Before you answer, I know why – it was merely a rhetorical question): (From a press release) “Apple today introduced Boot Camp, public beta software that enables Intel-based Macs to run Windows XP. Available as a download beginning today, Boot Camp allows users with a Microsoft Windows XP installation disc to install Windows XP on an Intel-based Mac, and once installation is complete, users can restart their computer to run either Mac OS X or Windows XP. Boot Camp will be a feature in Leopard, Apple’s next major release of Mac OS X, that will be previewed at Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference in August.”

Windows on Mac Hardware, It’s like using a Cadillac to haul manure.
Then again, they do make the Escalade EXT.
It might be more useful if you didn’t have to restart the computer to boot into the other OS. It seems like a lot of trouble to go through just to use Windows. Bleh.
Hopefully it is going to help make virtualization easier within OS X – something like Virtual PC. It would be nice to be able to run those specialized applications that require WinXP without having to leave OS X and without the huge performance hit seen with Virtual PC on a G5.
I feel certain it will be a much more elegant solution than Virtual PC.
so you can run the channel 4 desktop weather app?
