Merry Christmas

The strange thing is, I’m the first person awake at my house this morning. Back in the day (when I was up all night doing “some assembly” on toys), the pitter-patter of little feet were guaranteed to be pitter-pattering well before dawn on Christmas morning. As our Christmas Eve traditions got later and later (specifically, the church service that ends after midnight, rather than the children’s service that ends about 5 p.m.), our morning routine shifted later as well. Except for me — I still wake up very early and wonder why everyone is sleeping in until there is plenty of light outside. So, for this strange reason, I have enough time alone this a.m. to log-on and send best wishes to you and yours.
